Vase in Two Blues / Handmade Pottery

Description

A light blue body and bright blue flared rim make this handmade pottery vase a perfect foil for all colours of flowers and just right for taking away your blues.

Exciting things are happening where the two blue glazes meet each other and mingle in the paths created by the subtle carving on the surface under the glaze -the kind of effect every potter dreams of as they glaze their wares. Watertight and easy-to-clean white interior glaze.

This vase is thrown a little thicker than I usually work but gladly, in the case of a vase, this only adds to its stability.

All pottery from StudioÉLAN is created by hand from soft clay using the potter’s wheel or slabroller. The clay used is durable stoneware. The glazes are non-toxic. Pieces can be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher, although handwashing will prolong their life. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoy making it!
