The curl in the wood is something that can only be experienced by viewing the pen in person. Contortions in grain direction reflect light differently as one moves down the grain and this creates an appearance of undulating waves known as curly grain. It is frequently described as looking like a wheat field in a mild wind, and can be so strong an effect that your eyes will swear that a flat piece of wood has a wavy surface.

The ultra smooth gel rollerball tip uses a replaceable ink cartridge and is an absolute pleasure to write with. The cap screws on to both ends, and perfectly weights the pen when posted on the end for writing. The design is based off of the poplar Parker style from the 1920's, and carries with it a vintage style, yet modern appeal.

The pen comes in a black velvet display case with matching gold trim as pictured and is provided with the ink cartridge ready to install. This is to prevent the ink from leaking or drying out during shipping.
