Psyche (Fancy Chain Version)

Description

The tale of Cupid (or Eros) and Psyche is one of my favorite love stories in all of literature and myth. Psyche is the name for the soul, and as such, I think fitting for this beautiful, sparkling, twisted little number.

A single spiral twist-faceted lilac pink amethyst briolette of gem quality has been wrapped in hand-twisted sterling silver wire before being strung on elegant sterling silver figure-eight chain and finished off with a sterling S-clasp. I had planned on making this more fussy, but this necklace had ideas of its own. I decided in the end that the stone was simply too beautiful not to stand alone.

The stone is a large 25 by 11mm. I have chosen to make the chain a rather long 21 and 3/4 inches, but I would be happy to shorten it to any length you like.
