In case you are wondering how I came to be in possession of this custom Wizard’s hutch, which by the way, given the nature of Wizards, are hard to come by, let me tell you…

You see, unless a Wizard is a member of the “Wizards’ Wizardry to the Nth Power Council”, Wizards tend to wander by nature, moving every 500 years or so. They travel through time; dimension; to earthly places, normally hidden, secret or in Hollows; and to places on different vibrational planes. And, when they leave, they only take a few possessions particular to them at that moment.

In looking at this hutch, one can see it was once possessed by a very scholarly wizard. But, keep in mind; wizards are beings who dabble in all areas of alchemy, science, mathematics, spellwork, potions, medicine, and etc. So, even, no rather, especially a scholarly wizard will try to invent, create, and do spell work with oddities or things we humans my think ghoulish.

Wizards see these “oddities” as ways and means to increase their knowledge and, eventually, the knowledge of humans. So, try not to judge them.

So, it is the Wizard’s wandering nature that resulted in my acquiring this fine piece.

“The Scoop”…

You will not find another hutch as well crafted, detailed, and filled with so many one-of-a kind, handmade items, plus signed and dated, anywhere for this price.

In making this miniature dollhouse scale (1:12) pine hutch, I applied five coats of paint, sanded, brushed, and damp washed each layer before applying the next one. The paint and glue used are both non-toxic. The resultant color reminds me of a Florentine green with gold, and has touches of, naturally, “enchanted” glitter.

I wanted to create a hutch for an elegant, well read, neat, and scholarly Wizard who dabbled in bits of this and that and who knew and was well versed in Sacred Geometry, a passion of mine.

The hutch is open with no doors and a faux drawer. The drawer knobs are painted gold to bring out the gold accents on the hutch.

It stands approximately 6 1/8” tall and is approximately 4 1/8” at its widest point. On one side of the hutch is a swirl charm reminiscent of a labyrinth or the concept of the continuation of a circle.

Encircling a portion of the top right side of the hutch are “silver” stars, which I like to think the Wizard caught and placed them there himself one very starry night.

The hutch is filled with all kinds of curious, enchanted, and ghoulish (eek!): eye candy, such as: a skeleton’s foot with “blood” on it; a skull, also with “blood” on it; bottles of Wizard supplies; two crystal balls and a scrying ball; shells that reflect concepts of Sacred Geometry; a magic orb; and what appears to be a funerary urn. Gee, I wonder whose ashes are in there. The carafe is purple with starbursts and made by Re-Ment.

But, that is all I am going to tell you. It is up to you to discover all the secrets, delights, and surprises I made for you.

I make my hutches one at a time… from start to finish. There is no assembly line in my workshop. No elves either. For this reason, this is truly one-of a-kind. I keep no written “recipes” for the color or instructions for the items I create to put into/on my hutches. Pieces on this hutch are from nature or created at the time I was working on it from materials at hand at that time.

This is an original design, story, and idea of mine.

This is not a toy. However, it was made to be used and enjoyed. From a smoke free home, this hutch comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is signed and dated.

Ideal for: miniature dollhouses, room boxes, Halloween displays, dioramas, witch or wizard displays or as a collectible.
