~Little News Boy~

My interpretation from a mold by Lucille Girard.

This little News Boy is the first mold I bought when I started making porcelain dolls in 1986. He has been one of my best sellers. This doll was made by me in 1991 for my personal collection.

He is 16 inches tall and has a porcelain head and hands on a cloth body. There is an armature in his arms so he is poseable. He is holding a rolled up newspaper that came from his bag. The bag has The Daily News painted on it.

His rust colored hat and pants are suedecloth and his off white sweater was hand knitted by me and I’ll not tell you how long it took me to knit that little jewel. I probably could have knitted one for myself in the same length of time! He is wearing rust and tan colored tennis shoes. He has auburn hair and blue eyes with human hair eye lashes. All of his clothing is removable with snaps and buttons.

He comes complete with a stand and arrives signed and dated on the left side of his neck. ~Edna~ ©1991
