Thin Teardrop Zebrawood Earrings

Description

Each pair of Orno earrings is cut from a simple plank of exotic wood before being carefully hand-sanded and varnished. Absolutely no stain is used, only clear shellac to bring out the natural color and grain of each special wood. This particular pair is made from Zebrawood, or Microberlinia, a tree indigenous to West Africa, widely found in Gabon and Cameroon. The yellow gold color is streaked with dark brown/black, giving the wood its zebra-like appearance.

For each pair of earrings you buy, Orno will plant a tree in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil through The Nature Conservancy. To learn more about this organization and their initiative to plant a billion trees, please visit http://www.nature.org/.

This particular wooden earring falls in the larger size range of the collection, measuring approximately 7 cm in length, and 3mm in thickness. However, they are surprisingly light!

Earring hooks are available in both gold and silver-plated finishes. Unless otherwise specified, all earrings will be sent with silver plated fittings, so please indicate your preference upon purchase in your message to the buyer. For those with more sensitive ears, sterling silver fittings are also available at an additional cost.

All pieces come with a gift box made from 100% recycled paper.
