Helaine Zipper Tote

I have a fabulous repeat customer named Helaine who happens to have great taste in bags. So when she contacted me this summer and said she needed a bag, similar to one she had purchased in the past, I was delighted. "But," she said. "I need it to have a zipper." Since I'd been thinking about how to take my standard tote style and recreate it with a zipper, I was happy to speed up the design process and oblige her. And this is what she got. The base of the bag still measures 13"x 4", and it is still 13" tall, but the opening at the zipper is 17" wide. It has an interior pocket with a zipper and the exterior slide pocket. The handles make it sturdy enough to carry 30 pounds. The fabric is washable on cold as long as you set it up to air dry. And it is made of entirely sweatshop-free materials.
