Handmade Gourd Mask- Big Red Nose

This "big nose" gourd features a white and black feather hair piece and horsehair on the right.

My gourds are all hand-crafted. I get the gourds from a gourd farm south of Phoenix, AZ where they have been dried for many months. After selecting Gourds With Character, I clean and cut them myself.

This gourd has a leather dye that I mix myself applied to it... the dye tones the gourd to the color I want and also brings out its unique characteristics. The gourd is one- of- a- kind... no two come out the same!
