Copper and Sterling Byzantine Ladder Bracelet

A new twist on an old classic...

This bracelet combines solid copper, not plated, with a flash of sterling silver hooked together into a "ladder" style, byzantine, chainmaille weave. The sterling adds just enough light to really make this piece stand out.

All of these rings began their life as a coil of raw wire. It was hand coiled and saw cut in order to get flush closures for a more professional look.

This bracelet is held secure with a hand formed "S" clasp of solid copper. If you would prefer a toggle clasp, let me know in the notes upon checkout and I will be happy to make the switch for you.

This piece measures 7 1/2" (19cm) from end to end, but can be adjusted at no charge to custom fit your wrist.

Right now, the copper is bright and shiny (like a new penny), but as it ages, the copper will darken and warm. This makes the pattern even more dramatic. If you prefer the brightness of new-a little lemon juice will bring it back to it's original shine.
