Colorful Art Quilt Wall Hanging, Shapes in Space

This unique quilt has been stuck in my head for a while now and I decided to let it out! I used beautiful batik fabrics to cut out my shapes and then found a wonderful background fabric that looks like outer space! The shapes are appliqued down and the quilting outlines each shape. I love how it came out!

Black is very hard to photograph so colors do vary slightly from the quilt. In some it looks shiny but it's really not.

Time involved in making this quilt: 2 hrs. drawing & cutting shapes, 3 hrs. for applique, 3 hrs. quilting and finishing. Total: about 8 hrs.

Hand washing and air drying are recommended to avoid shrinkage. There's a handy sleeve sewn in the back for easy hanging and I've signed and dated it.
