Over the Rainbow

This is absolutely stunning!! Another of my favourites.

Made from deep red faceted garnets, light green peridot chips, faceted citrine, hematite discs and a few blue glass beads. The necklace measures 22cms in length from the the clasp to the end of the pendant. So is a tiny little bit longer than a choker. The clasp is silvertone.

The sterling silver pendant is so pretty. It consists of peridot, garnets and faceted black onyx in the centre. It measures 5cms in length.

Garnet:
Garnet is a stone of romantic love and passion. It is used in metaphysics to enhance sensuality, sexuality, and intimacy. It is said to bring positive thoughts and boosts energy, and be excellent for manifestation. It can also assist mystically with success in one's career and building one's self-confidence. It is also a protective energy stone which is especially effective for protection from evil, and is used for gentle spiritual healing. Lore says that garnet can heal the blood, heart and lungs. Garnet is associated primarily with the root chakra, but also with other chakras depending on its color. Resonates with the african goddess of storms Oya. She represents feminine leadership - invoke Oya when you are in need of strength in your quest for leadership and authority.

Peridot:
Periodot is associated with the heart chakra, and can be used to balance and stimulate that chakra. It is a stone of compassion. It has a friendly energy and is excellent for healing. It assists in rebirth and renewal of all kinds. Peridot also bring abundance and prosperity. It enhances the healing and harmony of relationships of all kinds, but particularly marriage. Peridot can lessen stress in relationships, anger and jealousy, slow aging, and heal ulcers and digestive problems. It also assists in finding what is lost, and strengthens ESP abilities. It has been said to make a shield of protection around the body of any wearer of peridot.

Hematite:
Hematite is known as a "stone for the mind". It brings mental organization and is very grounding and calming. It helps with original thinking, logical thinking, and mathematics. It decreases negativity and can help balance the body/mind/spirit. Physically it has been used to keep the body cool, to decrease blood disorders, nervous problems and insomnia, as well as align the spine and mend broken bones. Hematite is associated with the root (base) chakra. During my first trip to the Tucson Rock and Gem Shows, I carried a piece of hematite around in each pocket to help ground me from all the strong crystal energy there. Hematite is good at grounding out excess energy and acting as a stabilizing force. Resonates with Goddess of the dark moon, brave and unwavering, Inanna ventures into the underworld. She teaches us to stand firm, eyes focuses on the end true goal, ultimately leading us to a state of wisdom.

Citrine:
Citrine is known as a "success" stone because it is said in folklore to promote success and abundance, especially in business and commerce. Its lore also says that it enhances mental clarity, confidence, happiness and will power. Citrine is purported to bring good fortune, sometimes in very unexpected ways. Citrine is also a good general protection stone according to crystal healing lore. It is said to alleviate depression and self-doubt, and diminish irrational mood swings due to the effect of mental clarity it has. In traditional folklore and crystal healing lore it is said to aid the digestion and eliminate nightmares that disturb one's sleep. It is associated with the solar plexus chakra. Resonates with the goddess Tyche.

Black Onyx:
Onyx is associated primarily with the root chakra. It assists with challenges in life, especially those caused by a drain of energy. It prevents the draining away of personal energy and can be used for protection from such. It also helps with grounding and controlling or eliminating excess or unwanted energies. It has been used for wound healing, childbirth and to increase stamina and self-control. Black onyx and red onyx are associated with the base (root, first) chakra. White onyx is associated with linking the base and crown chakras to have balanced energy throughout the chakra system.
