Count It All Joy

Original poem based off one of my favorite scriptures, James 1:2, "Dear brothers and sisters,[fn2] whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy."

Dear God,
Here I am before you,
Arms spread wide.
I fall to my knees and try not to cry.
God fill me up,
From head to toe,
Fill me up until I overflow.
Drown me with your gift of grace,
Until joy forever washes over my face.
Wash me clean of worry and fear,
So I can count it all joy
Every day of every year.
