OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Description

This plate is approximately 10" square.

As a child I would cut out shapes and use water paints to create art that I think only I appreciated.

My work is done on the back side of a clear glass plate.
This plate was done by cutting a Christmas tree out of foam in a rather primitive manner and then stamping the image on the plate with acrylic paint. Next I paint with a flecked sparkle clear acrylic and lastly paint over all layers with a Christmas red acrylic paint. A spray coating of lacquer in then applied to help preserve.

The plate is food safe because work is on the underneath side of the plate. However, do not immerse in water or put in a dishwasher. DAMP WIPE ONLY, PLEASE!!!
