Vintage 80s Indigo Blue Dress with Early 50s Design Details - SZ 12 - Wild Rose Label

This vintage indigo blue Wild Rose dress is from the 80s but has so many 50s-inspired design details.

The dress is constructed of indigo/navy satin backed with a rayon-crepe blend. Because the crepe is backed with satin the dress is not see-through and is not lined. The original Wild Rose tag and the Size 12 tag are in the dress. This dress is from my personal collection and I have not worn it in several years. It is in excellent condition.

The front of the detail-laden dress has a square neck with an indigo blue satin collar and two crepe roses at the corners of the collar. The back of the collar has two buttons and loops to close it inside the collar. The dress zips up the back. The back of the dress is gorgeous in its rich detail. Just below a slightly dropped waist there is a ruched and doubled piece of indigo blue satin that connects the triple-pleated (in satin) waist detail. At the bottom of the ruched satin there are two quadruple-pleated satin streamers that emphasize the waistline detail.

The measurements of this Size 12 labeled beautiful dress are:
Length (shoulder to hem): 59" (149.86 cm)
Bust: 37" (93.98 cm)
Waist: 31" (78.74 cm)
Hips: 38" (96.52 cm)
Back split (for walking): 15" (38.1 cm)
The measurements are taken flat.

This beauty is in excellent condition! I lightened a couple of the pictures in order for the details to show, and the dress is truly the dark indigo blue as shown in the other pictures.

This dress has been stored in my pet and smoke-free home and I have not worn it for several years.
