Elbow Basket, Handwoven with Red Decoration
Description
Whether hanging from a cupboard or the back of a chair this elbow style basket will add primitive charm to your home. I’ve woven a number of these and have displayed them in my own home filled with drieds like sweet annie, flax or tansy.This particular basket was handwoven using half inch and quarter inch basket reed and is finished with a whipped rope edge. It measures 13.5” across at the widest point and is 19” in height, including the handle. It is decorated with four rows of dark red reed and has been over dyed using walnut hulls to give it an aged look. This basket features a pinched “envelope” style bottom.
