Copper Leaf on a Copper Chain zn015

Description

I made this pendant by impressing a real leaf into copper, oxidizing the copper with my trusty torch, and putting a thin coat of microcrystalline wax on it to preserve the colors. The leaf pendant has a variety of reds and copper colors, and the outline of very delicate veins can be seen. I applied a microcrystalline wax to preserve the patina. The leaf pendant measures about 1 3/4 inches by 3/4 inch (4.3cm x 2cm). It hangs from an antiqued copper figaro chain that measures 18" (45cm) in length. The chain closes with a small antiqued copper lobster clasp.
