This lovely tie is made from a beautiful dupioni silk. Dupioni is a richly textured silk fabric created from the irregular silk thread formed when two or more silkworms spun entangled cocoons. This silk thread is naturally slubby, uneven and fibrous. When it is woven, these characteristics are evident in the fabric's surface qualities. This gives dupioni silk its uniquely organic, natural charm.

This tie is made completely from scratch, by me. (It is NOT purchased pre-sewn and then printed). It is screen printed with a bicylce design. The image is printed using an acrylic permanent textile ink and the print has been heat-set.

56 inches long from end to end
4 inches wide at bottom front
1.5 inches wide at opposite end

3.5 inches at widest

Since I do all my prints one at a time by hand, I am able to print this image on just about any of the other colors of silk you see used for the other ties in my shop. If there is a different, available color that you would like this on, just let me know and I'll confirm if it's workable.
I am happy to accommodate custom color requests and can order just about any color of silk you can imagine. If you have something particular in mind that you do not already see in my shop, please contact me, I will send you information regarding the colors available and your custom tie can be ready in about 1 week.

I am often able to do custom screenprint images, though the price of a custom tie may vary depending on the image, how much needs to be done to the image to make it printable and whether or not I may be able to use it in the future for more ties.
