Seeking Safe Harbor
Description
A thunderstorm coming in off Mobile Bay sent these Canvasback ducks seeking a safe harbor. Interesting that I saw these ducks near Bon Secour, Alabama, which is French for 'safe harbor.' I tried to show the urgency in their flight.Done on canvasboard, this painting measures 16x20 and was painted using Winsor Newton oil paints. Painted in 2005 it has hung in my studio as one of my favorites.
