Amazingly, the color of this bead is from a single rod of glass wound over a core of clear glass. This "magic" glass contains a high silver content that creates these really cool striations in color and reulted in rainbows of color on each end. Because it was used over clear, it has a transluscent quality in certain lighting situations. I almost electroformed this beauty, then decided to leave it alone because it might end up over decorated. Filed of Dreams will arrive ready for your creative jewelry design.

General Information regarding my lampwork beads: All of my lampwork beads are handmade by me in my home based studio in Indiana. Because they are handmade, there will never be a perfect machine made bead, but I do strive for perfection as much as I am humanly able. My beads have been annealed for strength in a digitally controlled kiln and the holes have been thoroughly cleaned of bead release.
