Description
:: this bead is made with the same colours as my pearl necklacehttp://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12533644 - white, cream and pale blue threads on off-white background; the combination gives a subtle mother of pearl-like effect
:: the silk was carefully gathered into pleats which are held together by two bands of smocking
:: one side is left raw and fraying - it is very soft and nice to touch (and a little reminder of impermanence); if you prefer I can make it with both sides the same
:: the bead is 3.5 cm (1 1/4 inches) long and 1.5 cm (1/2 inch) in diameter
:: it comes on a 46 cm (18 inches) long sterling silver chain with a handmade clasp (the clasp can be neatly hidden inside the bead when not in use)
