Antique Victorian Edwardian Tea Dress Gown White Cotton Batiste Lace

For your consideration is a stunning Edwardian Tea Dress ~ white Batiste cotton and lace with long sleeves and a high neck (the Victorian influence). A lovely example of an early gown. Perhaps a wedding gown.

This gown is marked N MacDonald on the inside and is from the MacDonald estate in Picton, Ontario, Canada. The town of Picton is one of the oldest in Canada and dates back to 1837 (pre-Canada). The last photo is a picture of the MacDonald Estate.

The dress is at least 100 years old and in Excellent Condition overall. I noticed one tiny snag and the odd pin size age spot. Very minor. No stains, rips or tears. It fastens with the original hooks and loops at the back.

It measures 52 inches long, has a 32 inch chest and a 22 inch waist. The ladies were so tiny back then. The dress looks absolutely lovely on display.
