Handmade Gourd Mask- Long-nose Green

This long-nosed green gourd features a tuft of rabbit hair, a decorative hanging on the right and a painted design on the left.

My gourds are all hand-crafted. I get the gourds from a gourd farm south of Phoenix, AZ where they have been dried for many months. After selecting Gourds With Character, I clean and cut them myself.

This gourd has a leather dye that I mix myself applied to it... the dye tones the gourd to the color I want and also brings out its unique characteristics. The gourd is one- of- a- kind... no two come out the same!
