Sunset Canvasbacks
Description
The only thing better than a beautiful sunset is to share it with a flock of canvasback ducks. I saw these ducks flying along the banks of Lake Barkley. Looking for a place to settle in and rest for the night you can almost feel them hesitate as they spot me watching. This was one of those moments that had to be captured in a painting.Painted in 1990, this was done on 18x24 inch canvasboard with Winsor Newton oil paints. It has a single light coat of varnish.
