Crocheted "ear" hats are an Aberrant Crochet (TM) specialty from my Aberrant HeadGear(TM) line of designs.

Aberrant HeadGear designs have no uncomfortable seams, not even for the ears. This is because unlike other designs, they are completely sculpted as one piece (including the ears). This also means that your ears cannot be pulled off and unlike knit, even under the worst abuse is less likely to become mis-shapen, even over time!

All earred hats are crocheted freeform without any set pattern through a process I call "yarn sculpting" that has been developed over my 30+ years of crochet experience. No two hats ever come out the same as the process "sculpts" ears into the entire hat design itself and even depends upon the types of fibers used.

We will discuss your color and ear preferences upon checkout. Use of cashmere, alpaca or silk can be added with a $10 upcharge for materials and depend on local availability in your chosen colors.

My earred hat designs utilizes various crochet techniques and a truly uniquely blended mixture of at least 3 different high-end microfibers in each design.

Perfect to show off your style at school, PTO or the ski slopes! My customers come from a range of all ages, from infant to 80+. Local teachers are beginning to find me for my designs so they can wear something fun during PE or on the playground at school too! And now parents are picking them up for their ball games and ski trips. (Pretty neat since I don't live anywhere near a slope!) I even had one retired customer who bought a hat from me because he drove a convertible and wanted something "special" to wear while he did. (You know what... life in Austin just ain't boring! We're a fun lovin' bunch!)

SIZE: One Size fits most. Hats do have comfortable stretch and "thermal" affect and will "grow" with adult or young owners.

CARE: Hand or spot wash. Due to the super soft micro-fibers, I always recommend spot clean first, though the yarns are hand washable. Believe it or not, the fibers I use hold up well, even in rain and snow and will dry well just fine on their own. But the texture will change a bit if completely soaked and agitated too much.

TOOLS: I firmly believe in the use of custom wood tools and a variety of texturing techniques and fibers from around the world. Hands down, it makes for a better quality product and experience.

Included is the original artist signed certificate of authenticity tag. All pieced are named and logged when sold.
