Description

Vintage silverplate pedestal tray, Camille by International Silver Company, with broken china mosaic focal in the Vernon Rose pattern, vintage Edwin Knowles china interior rim, and my favorite vintage European china pattern for the outer rim. Very vintage focal is perfectly crazed (tiny cracks in the glaze) for that slightly shabby appeal. Filled in with lusciously tonal stained glass in amber with pink accents, and a sandy amber grout.

Silverplate is in excellent condition and freshly polished, but when left to tarnish a soft golden brown it sets off the mosaic perfectly. You can polish the silver once in a while with a mild paste polish for silver, with a quick swish of soap and water after. Sealed with grout sealant.

Mosaic area 11 inches in diameter.

Though I cut and/or trim most of my mosaic tiles, I also support my fellow mosaic artists and suppliers by purchasing their tiles and tile sets to incorporate into my designs. Unless noted otherwise, all of my mosaics are my own original compositions.
