Piper - Dressed for the Holidays 15 inch Waldorf Style All Natural Friendship Doll

Piper is a loving companion who would love a little boy or girl to cuddle and hug.

She has shoulder length Ash blond hair with brunette & white highlights made of merino wool. Her hair can be styled in various ways though currently she is wearing a side part to show off her highlights.

Piper is ready for the party in her 100% cotton blue flowered dress embellished with a white waist band and butterfly necklace. Just in case she gets tired she brings her beautiful matching quilt for the ride home. Piper's quilt is lovingly made and is a quilt in miniature. She is wearing white felted shoes embellished with a blue leaf pattern. Piper has light brown eyes a rosy mouth and blushing cheeks.

Piper's body and head are made of one piece, arms are the internal button jointed variety with stitched on legs. Piper is stuffed with carded wool that is sourced here in Maine from Peace Fleece and has hair that is made of merino wool. Her skin is golden in color and made of cotton tricot.

Waldorf dolls (also called Steiner dolls) are a form of doll used in Waldorf education. Made of natural materials, using techniques drawing on traditional European doll making, its appearance is intentionally simple in order to allow the child playing with it to engage in open play. MaDau Dolls are created in this tradition and the faces are embroidered simply so that the doll can reflect a range of emotions to the child in creative play, whether that be happy, sad, angry or somewhere in between. They are stuffed with wool so that the child's own body warmth will be given back to the child as though from a living being.

Piper is recommended for ages 3 and up as there are buttons and snaps which can present a choking hazard. Our dolls are created in a smoke-free, pet-free home.

Piper will be beautifully wrapped and shipped First Class Mail. MaDau Creations ships items on Mondays. Please allow 5-7 days to ship following our shipping days.

Preferred payment is funded Paypal, instant transfer Paypal or echeck Paypal. If using personal check or money order the item will begin creation after payment has been received and cleared. Items shipped are shipped with insurance coverage.

MaDau Creations was formed after Cat and Dodi began making handmade toys for Christmas for Cat’s two young children.

The process of creating these magical beings so enthralled the two women that they began making them for friends, family and donations to the local library raffle fund (a pet project of both women is the improvement of the library) and voila the Mother Daughter team was formed and MaDau Creations came into being.

MaDau Dolls are handcrafted with all natural materials and stitched with love. We create truly unique dolls using wool, cotton and silk. Each doll emerges from our tender care with a striking personality in the Waldorf tradition with patterns originating from Dancing Rain Dolls.

Our workshop is in Steep Falls, ME a sleepy little village on the East Coast of the United States.
