Altered Mixed Media 8 x 8 Canvas Collage EMBRACE LIFE

Description

This piece of art was created first by painting an 8 x 8 stretched deep sided canvas, in 3 muted colors. I then selected pieces of vintage embellishments, including a vintage drawer hardware, and a pocket watch face. An image transfer of a vintage photo was also created and placed over a page from an antique book, giving it a ghost like effect. Molding paste was formed and used to hold the pocket watch face and scattered German glasss glitter, and also a bottle cap. EMBRACE LIFE appears using newpaper clippings. A rusty key hangs from rich multi colored fibers. Flourish stamps surround the borders. This would look great either hanging on a wall, or sitting on a shelf/counter. Please see all photos.
