I made this using different types of fabric.
The tiers contain cotton,lurex,silky poly and -patchwork.
I have made a few tiers out of my own skirts I cut up.Yes, recycling.I wanted to use the pretty fabric and thought how cool to make tiered skirts out of my old skirts.
10 yards at the hem for some great twirling. Elastic waist but a zipper on the back and its a size 12. I used the top of one of my old skirts for a close fit. Please excuse how it looks on me. I'm too chunky for this skirt but it would look great on a size 12 or smaller.
Length is 37 inches long

Serged and sewed on all parts of the skirt.
3 tiers-each tier has 3 to 5 rows.
Tiers are double stitched.
I did not pre wash my fabric but You cannot stick this in a hot dryer or else the some of the fabric will be ruined. No shrinking should occur because it must be washed in cold tumble dry low just to get wrinkles out and then hang it out to dry. Low iron -iron inside out. I've done this with my own skirts.Quilters do this with their own quilts-wash in cold and only put in the dryer for a few minutes on low or no heat just to get wrinkles out then hang it out to dry.


Yes, this skirt requires some work to keep it nice because it is an investment.Great for a fabulous clothing piece or costume piece,no matter if your Tribaret, Tribal or Cabaret.
great for practice, spinning or a skirt routine.
I do have lots of pets and even though they don't all roam my sewing room -I thought I lyk.
