This pastel drawing is part of a series of landscapes based on the American West - the Dakotas, Montana, and Wyoming. I find the land in that area very inspiring, and I like to pull out the colors that are hiding in it.

This drawing was done on a lovely nut brown card with fantastic texture that shows through the pastel. It is framed in birch, and ready to hang on your wall. There are 3 other pieces in this mini-series. They all go together very well. The last picture shows them all together.

These pieces were on exhibit in Minneapolis from March until May as part of a larger series of pastel landscapes.
