Description
Knitting pattern for wool mittens "stuffed" with fleece. These are the perfect mittens for this cold cold winter.This pattern gives instructions for knitting a "thrum" mittens. A thrum is a small fleece heart on the knit side, made by wrapping a piece of roving around the needle and knitting it into the mitten. This is a very easy technique, that produces a unique mitten.
Knit with worsted wool (100 - 235 yards, depending on size)on US size 4 circular needles (2-24" needles) and a US size 4 double point needle.
Wool roving is used for the thrums - 4 yards of roving
Instructions are for knitting child's small and medium; women's small and medium; and men's size mittens.
