Description
Poseidon first saw Amphitrite dancing at Naxos amongst other sea nymphs. She fled from his advances to Atlas, the farthest part of the seas. Poseidon’s dolphin, sought her out and convinced her to be Poseidon’s queen.Amphitrite has always been distinguishable from the other nymphs by her queenly attributes. This ring is one of her queenly possessions, possibly a gift from Poseidon himself.
The shell measures 1 ½ in (3.6cm) in length and about 1 in (3cm) wide, and comes with a thick gold adjustable ring band, which fits virtually any finger.
