GOTHIC Black Red and Sterling Silver Beaded Necklace

Description

hand-crafted in Mexico, the black beads featured here on this necklace are made exclusively in a city called Oaxaca (pronounced wah-HA-ka). they're made from a black clay, or "barro negro" as it is referred to in Oaxaca, that owes it's magnificent color to the technique with which it is baked. there is no dye or glaze used so the color is permanent & can never be worn or chipped away.

fine, silver-lined glass seed beads and sterling silver Bali spacers as well as silver rounds complete the look. strung on matching red cotton beading thread, this necklace drapes beautifully and has lots of movement.
