Out to Pasture, 5x7 pastel landscape drawing

Description

Out to Pasture is a pastel drawing of cattle feeding in a prairie in Wyoming. I love to look at landscapes and pull out the colors that are hiding in them and enhance them. The color in this piece is built up in pastels. The piece was then worked over with china marker, which gives it a very slightly speckled appearance. This drawing is part of a large series of pastel landscapes of the American West.

Pastel drawings are delicate, and should be framed for best preservation. When framing, use only glass, not plexiglass, and use a mat to ensure that the drawing doesn't touch the glass.

The drawing measures approximately 5 x 7 inches (12.75 x 17.75 centimeters).
