Vintage Christmas Ornament - Decoration with Magnet on Bottom

Maybe this cool little dude was meant for your dashboard,or for securely sitting on some metal fixture. I'm not sure why there is a magnet on his bottom, but he must be related to the other decoration currently listed.
About 5" tall, this decoration was made in Japan, even though his parts seem to be all from home projects. He has pipe cleaner mustache, felt shirt, and wire glasses. The whole look is quite crafty, with a retro edge.
This holiday happy guy is in pretty good shape, with a small stain just below his face, also the springs that hold his hands look to have seen slightly better days, but could be easily switched out. Otherwise, our little Holiday Homey is in good vintage condition.
