MetaMorphosis in Purple - Reconstructed Dress Tattered Butterfly - small to med

I started this reconstruction 4 years ago...I have no idea why I didn't like it at the time...because...

This reconstructed 90's ball gown is sheer sexiness! The under dress is hot pink satin, cut on the bias for give and good fit. It is covered with sheer black knit, which gives a a shimmery purple effect.

Its empire waist has black spaghetti straps with 2 beaded magenta butterflies attached, and crosses in the back. The bust is ruched dramatically with the black net, which then drapes in an ever-changing color look. I cut the over skirt off in fairy tatters, with the hot pink satin peeking out. The dress bottom has more satin sewn is a subtle ruffle, edged in black serging.

Asymmetrically, on the side, are my signature serged tatters, made from the balance of the underdress, ending just under the butterfly nestling below the right boob. It zips up the back.

Whether you call yourself Goth Girl, Lolita, Dolly, loligoth, EGL, or just plain alt indie, this elegant, OOAK, reconstructed dress would look great on you at that emo raver alternative dance party or zombie prom. Classy DIY trashion fashion!

I'm going through my old stuff, finishing off projects from years ago. I was just too picky and hard on myself...or blind! They all look great now!

Original label: Zum Zum by Niki Liva. Size 9-10. Satin: Union made in the USA. 54/46% Rayon/acetate. Sheathing:100% Polyester. Dry clean only.

My model (5’9", 135#) is 40-30-36 wears a 6/8. The fit looks great!
