Pink Modern Flower Carrie Purse

Description

This fabric is fabulous… it’s recycled upholstery weight fabric (or home decorator—if you prefer) and it makes for a very classy, very sturdy little handbag. It’s also been reinforced with quilted interfacing. And, the strap is double-super quilted and has these cool silver ring things that make it oh-so-fabulous.

This design is named for my friend Carrie and (of course) for Carrie Bradshaw, the main character in the Sex and the City books. This bag is able to hold a wallet/checkbook, cell phone, tissues, lipsticks, latte receipts, pens, keys, your Blackberry… This is a medium sized, sleek looking bag with a great triangular shape… some might call it a rhombus.

The interior of this Carrie is a hot pink nylon, recycled from an evening gown. The lining is hand-sewn and has two pockets. One pocket is large enough for a cell phone/blackberry or keys; the other is for a cell phone or pens. This Carrie is a particularly fun and bold bag, and it's made of 95% recycled materials.
