This pattern began, 30 years ago, as a design for a red breasted robin, but the finished bird did not sell well in the 1970s at the Portland Saturday Market so I made a more colorful version with the same pattern and named it the Rainbow Bird and people loved it! People bought the birds in my gift shop in the 1980's as hanging decorations. Now you can buy the sewing pattern from me and make a flying bird to hang from your child's ceiling!

The pattern is full sized and the instructions are illustrated and easy to read.

I designed this pattern and many others and had them printed. My business name is Fantasy Creations (please check out my etsy store). This pattern was published in 2007. It is new and uncut. I can recommend this pattern for any experienced seamstress.

I designed over 100 different stuffed animals and sold them in my gift shop in the early 1980s. I printed patterns for some of my best selling designs so that other creative folks could make these same adorable stuffed animals to sell at church bazars or give as gifts. Before I made the patterns I asked women who bought patterns what they liked and would want me to avoid. My patterns are full sized, printed on one side of the paper only, the instructions are in one area, or on a separate sheet, so they will not be cut up, and I wrote the instructions and illustrated them clearly and in simple English. The pattern is published on quality 11" X 17" white paper.

I reserve the copyright on all of the patterns. Feel free to handcraft as many Rainbow Birds as you like for craft sales and gifts but do not reproduce or sell the pattern or use this pattern as a manufacturer. I retain copyright on all photos of my work on the internet or in brochures. You have the right to photograph your own finished stuffed animals. Contact me if you have any questions.
