PINK OBI BELT IN VINTAGE KIMONO FABRICS

Description

This modern version of Japanese obi is made from vintage kimono fabrics I bought from Kyoto. The front is a patchwork of beautiful vintage kimono fabrics and the back is new brocade fabric, so it's REVERSIBLE! The belt is trimmed with hot pink binding which become the ties at the end. I used different pattern for each belt, so each obi belt is UNIQUE!! The patchwork came out so beautiful, I have also made one for myself!!

Length of the belt (including the ties) - 150cm/59"
Length (fabric only) - 80cm/31.5"
Width - 9cm/3.75"

Since this belt is made from vintage fabrics, there will be flaws that are inevitable with age, the second last photo shows a dark fold line on the pink panel, but not distracting.
