Star Potholders published by the American Thread Company in 1947. Book contains recipes and patterns for pot holders that match the theme of the recipes. Cute concept! Fish and crab pot holders accompany the recipe for crab meat au gratin. A butterfly and a bee go with the recipe for honey date sticks. spiced fruit compote and fruit-themed pot holders. Additional themes include maple sugar, Christmas tree, cheesecake (the pot holders look like panties, a slip and a dress), candied rose petals, minted tea cooler, plum pudding, pinwheel sandwiches, Indian pudding, and banana waffles. Twenty-three page booklet is in fair to good condition with some water damage but all the patterns are readable.
