Ready for a Close Up -- Origami Crane Art ACEO

Description

This little dolphin pokes his head up through the waves to say "hello," or maybe he just wants his picture taken!

The dolphin is made from 40 silver foil origami cranes; his eye is a 7mm blue acrylic rhinestone. The waves are made from a mix of blue foil and turquoise foil origami cranes, bringing the total number of cranes in the piece to 51. It is mounted on a background of dark blue velvet.

It is the standard ACEO size of 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches (approximately 6.35cm x 8.89cm), but it is not flat, it is 1-1/4 inches (approximately 3.175cm)thick. ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals, and are essentially artist trading cards that are offered for sale instead of for trading.
