shabby chic cake plate with hand painted floral blossoms and branches

Description

this charming cake / serving plate is decorated with black
branches blossoming with flowers in a bright minty green .
i am assuming the plate is hand painted and is from the 40's or 50's .
it is approximately 12'' across and is 1/2" high .
there is a small stamp on the reverse which says " made in japan " .
the plate is perfectly glazed in a rich cream color , and is in great shape
with the exception of a tiny chip on the rim ( see photo ) .
this plate could be used to serve cupcakes, chocolates,
petit fours, or small appetizers ( if not an actual cake ! ) .
as well, it is charming enough to just be hung on the wall with
a plate hanger as decor in your kitchen or dining room .
