carved JADE frog amulet

66x43mm

he's a pretty big aztec pre columbian style frog with two drill holes at the top and two at the bottom. carved on one side, flat on the other.

he's a very dark green.

this was hand carved by a friend of my cousin in mexico (you can read about my cousin in my profile). he carves each of these himself.

he and my cousin (and a bunch of other guys) travel from guadalajara to puerto vallarta to sell their wares. they pile up in a cheap hotel room and spend a week in the tourist area of vallarta selling their handmade items, and then they return home until they stockpile more items to sell.

so of course i got involved and told him i'd try to see if there was a market for his work here on etsy.
