Caribou Antler Necklace

Description

A friend of mine from the Yukon requested this piece and I'm delighted with the result. This simple and elegant necklace invokes the magestic crown of the northern Caribou.

Handcarved. Handcast in Sterling Silver.

This product is hand made to order by me from 100% sterling silver, the standard for fine jewellery. Sterling silver is made of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, to give it strength. I choose not to use fine silver (99.9%) because it is generally very soft and therefore not as durable. Other advantages to sterling silver are that it is less reactive and more hypoallergenic, making it a safe and long-lasting choice.
