Burgundy Shibori Scarf

Description

This is a wonderful number! The shibori scarf pieces were made from 100% cotton. The coloration of shibori is generally done in silk, but because of cotton's natural fiber the same techniques can be applied. The cotton was scrunched and held tight with rubber bands during the process. The color variations "magically" appear through the process of removing the dye in the material. My magic uses bleach and vinegar and can get a little odorific!

The scarf is 58" long by 8" wide. Shibori pieces are 100% cotton, solid color for the rest is a also cotton or a cotton blend(it was a remnant, so I am not exactly sure). Machine wash cold with like colors. Can by dried in a drier and ironed as needed.
