The shawl pictured is one I made for a September bride, to keep her shoulders warm at her reception. She and I worked together to find a yarn and come up with a design that was *just* right, and I believe she has an heirloom piece that is machine washable.

This is made from a machine-washable thick fluffy acrylic that is surprisingly warm. It is about 6 feet long, with pointed ends. The lace has two different sizes of sunbursts or flowers and diagonal lines of very open lace.

I'd love to make this for you, too! Of course there are other colors and lengths and fibers are available, I love to make a piece that is perfect for the wearer.
