I bought this fantastic lampwork bead from OldCrowDesigns ( http://www.oldcrowdesigns.etsy.com ) because I felt like it spoke to me. Unfortunately, I apparently wasn't able to understand what it was saying though, because it's taken me until now to decide what to do with it!

I felt that 'The Ancients Were Here' deserved a primitive, yet elegant setting. I made this necklace out of matte black seedbeads in a spiral herringbone weave that has a twist of terra cotta running around it. It is embellished around the bail with larger matte black beads and is closed with a sterling silver toggle clasp.

It measures approximately 20" in length and the pendant is about 2 1/2" from the top of the bail to the end of the fringe.
