Make Your Own- Voodoo Susan

Voodoo Susan began her life as a pincushion. .. Or rather, Voodoo Susan began her life with the intention of being a pincushion, but life had other plans. A love of travel and meeting new people saw Susan develop into a travel buddy and the best of companions. This “Make Your Own: Voodoo Susan” kits contains the ingredients needed to make your very own Voodoo Susan.

Kit Includes:

-Assembly instructions and pattern
-Two large fabric pieces for body [MAGENTA FELT]
-Two buttons (for her eyes)[CHARCOAL GREY]
-One felt square (for heart)[YELLOW FELT]
-Embroidery thread (for mouth)

You will need:
-Needle and thread
-Cotton fill or poly fibre stuffing

The Voodoo Susan kit is suitable for the most inexperienced of sewers. Previous Susan’s have been completed by students in my art class as young as 5 years old (with close supervision of course!). The kit is excellent training in hand/eye coordination, with simple to follow instructions. An adult helper is recommended for all creators under the age of eight.

Susan recommends that you practice your sewing by pinning two scraps of fabric together, drawing a line down the middle of the top piece and stitching along the line as neatly as you can.
