Commission a REALISTIC Needle Felt of your Guinea Pig -Cavy - Custom Order Sculpture

Needle felt Guinea Pigs make their first run to an art show and loved it. High pitched squeals & stamping feet are their way of showing excitement, luckily the needle felt one are bred to be quiet.

In the pictures are a little tan & dark brown with a white blaze on it's cute face is Minny an American Cavy and the black & white GP is modeled after my son's Teddy, Drama. Drama's little butt which has a ying/yang markings on it. They have black bead eyes and sculpty clay feet conformationally correct with 3 toes on the rear and 4 toes on the front, these little ones are ready to run and play. The black and white Drama is 2 1/2" long 1 1/2" tall (rump height just like real GP's) and the tan and brown Minny is 3" long and 1 3/4" tall.

Your request will be a Soft, Wool Custom Portraiture Commission of your beloved fur-baby made without the use of patterns or kits, this is truly a One of a Kind sculpture. Approximately the size of the above listings. Short hair, smooth coat breeds are $30.00, Long haired breeds are $45 and Rosetted, speciality coated breeds are $40.00. For an extra $5 you can have a removable Taco Holloween Outfit made to dress your favorite Cavy.

These awesome, handmade cavies are felted very densely, creating high end, quality artwork and detailed to breed specifics by an artist that has shown in the dog & horse breed ring and volunteers with multiple specie, breeds and mixes every week.

For custom order portraits of your favorite pet or show animal, I will be working directly off of photographs that you supply, pictures must clearly show markings & profile of the animal. The description of the animal’s temperament helps clarify the vision of the animal not seen in pictures and allows the animal’s shape and personality to appear. A portion of the fiber for sculpture can be from your own animal's hair to make this a very special keepsake for you. Please allow 2-3 weeks for completion from the date of deposit.

Needle felting is the process of agitating washed wool roving with a wickedly sharp barb needle and sculpting it into shape. A special barbed needle to felt with and several different high quality fibers - Corridale, Merino, llama, alpaca, angora, mohair and other animal fibers to achieve the correct colors of each dog breed as much as possible. Each cavy is made without the use of patterns or kits. The sculpting is done by poking the wool fibers thousands of times until they interlock and felt together and the artistry of the animal’s shape and personality appear. As with any art form, sometimes the “woolies” takes on a life of its own and leads the artist to its final beautiful sculpture that can not be exactly copied or mass produced, even by the artist.

Remember the Needle Felted Woolies are for the adult collector and not toys.

All items are made in a pet friendly, kid friendly, 100% SMOKE FREE home and contain animal fibers.
