It Started With A Seed... Paisley, Mandala, Flower Mixed Media Art Quilt, Hand-Painted

This little beauty measures approx. 12” x 12”. It was hand-painted using acrylics, and I used heat-set glitter to give the whole thing that extra sparkle! The mandala image was stamped, then painted using acrylics and gold gilding ink. The flower and tear-drop shapes are fused raw-edge appliqué. The whole thing has been machine quilted using gold thread, and it has been hand-beaded. The colors are much more vibrant than they appear in the pictures, at least on my monitor! It was difficult to get a good photo with all the sparkle that this has.

On the back there is a 3” hanging sleeve, and I stamped the mandala image in the corner as well. The title and my info have been hand-lettered directly onto the backing fabric. The piece is signed.

Some of my photos are “retouched” in Photoshop. I crop, try to lighten them up a bit so that the colors are presented better, and if they are slightly blurred, I correct that, too. I will never post a misleading picture! I do not alter the photos to make the pieces themselves look better, (ex straighter or cleaner), I don’t add things that are not there, or take anything away other than shadows.
