Punalu'u - Black Peacock Pearls and Oxidized Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Necklace (N0056)

Description

Punalu'u Beach is a black sand beach on the big island of Hawaii where the sea turtles come ashore to nest. This necklace features irregular black peacock freshwater pearls with iridescent flashes of color that remind me of the sparkling black sand at Punalu'u. The pearls are wire wrapped on handmade sterling silver chain links oxidized using the boiled egg method, which gave them a nice patina with some slight color variations.

The necklace is adjustable and can be worn either as a choker or standard length 18" necklace (or even doubled as a bracelet). It is finished with a small lobster claw clasp.
